Josephine was born and raised in Queens, NY and now resides on Long Island with her husband, three English Bulldogs, a cockatoo, and her backyard Koi and Goldfish. She is currently a Practice Manager for an Internal Medicine office and has been working in the healthcare industry for over 20 years.
Rescuing animals in need started early at age 7, as she grew up across from a park and was always bringing home the strays. The first dog “rescued” was E.T. He was a brindled lab mix tied to a tree by his former owner. Josephine untied him and hid him in her backyard shed until she could convince her parents to let her work on finding him a new home.
Josephine likes to describe herself as an over the top “Bulldog Mama”. She is the mom of three Bulldogs, Princess, Bella, and her youngest, Baby Howard. Two of her babies came from NYC ACC and went to local rescue groups. Helping shelter pets and local organizations increase their level of adoptions is a cause that is near and dear to her heart. Baby Howard was rescued from the streets of NYC when he was found as a stray at 6 weeks old. Baby Howard came from Brooklyn ACC and has now become the “Prince of all Rescue Media” using TV appearances and modeling to promote awareness about rescue and adoption.
